Slab Leaks| Victorville Plumbers 760-780-9365

One of the major causes of leaks and flooding in the Victor Valley is a leaking pipe under the foundation of the house, commonly referred to as a “slab leak.” Slab leaks are frequently linked to construction defects that occurred when the home was built. Other common causes of slab leaks result from the pipe under the foundation being deteriorated on the outside by the harsh Apple Valley soil, and from the inside by the chemicals and impurities in the High Desert water. Other conditions, such as electrolysis, or another phenomenon known as de-zincafication, can contribute to cause slab leaks. WATER PRESSURE PROBLEMS Solved Call 24/7 Plumbing & Rooter of Hesperia,Ca (760)780-9365

Improper water pressure, either too low or too high, can cause serious damage to your plumbing system and appliances and result in appliances not filling and operating properly. Checking your water pressure requires a water pressure gauge that can be connected to one of a number of fixtures or appliances in your home. If the pressure is too high or too low, it may then require adjustment of your water pressure regulator valve. Unless you have the correct gauges, tools, and knowledge to perform the service, it is recommended that you call an experienced, licensed plumbing company such as 24/7 Plumbing & Rooter of Victorville,Ca

Normal water pressure varies from region to region and from residential to commercial needs. Water pressure for a residential home should be between 30-60 psi. In Hesperia, Ca Valley Water District, pressures can range from 30-100 psi. Anything over 80 is considered high and could be causing damage to your plumbing system. For high pressure, a Pressure Reduction Valve (PRV) is usually recommended. Any pressure reading under 30 is considered low and indicates a problem within your plumbing system, such as a leak. A qualified, experienced 24/7 Plumbing technician will be happy to check your water pressure. Just call the 24/7 Plumbing 24-Hour Dispatch Center at 760-780-9365 and they can have a technician at your site within minutes

Tankless water heater installation- Hesperia Ca, 24/7 Plumbing and Rooter (760)780-9365

At 24/7 Plumbing and Rooter we love tankless water heaters. From their unmatched convenience to their long life span and cost efficiency, they are a top choice for both homes and businesses.

Advantages of Tankless Water Heaters include:

Endless Hot Water

Never take another cold shower again! Tankless water heaters heat water on demand, so you’re never limited to a fixed pre-heated supply like you are with a tank. You’ll enjoy hot water when you want it, for as long as you need it. Take a shower, wash dishes and do laundry all at the same time!

Energy Costs

With a tankless water heater, Victorville residents can enjoy up to a 40 percent energy savings on their Gad bill compared to a traditional model. That’s because tankless water heater units are designed to be highly efficient and only heat water when it’s needed. When the demand for water ceases, the unit shuts down and uses no energy, a revolutionary advantage over conventional water heaters.

Performance and Longevity

With a tankless water heater, you get the durability and reliability of a commercial-grade copper heat exchanger and an industry-leading 12-year limited warranty on the heat exchanger. Plus, tankless water heaters have a typical life span of 20 years or more installed in residential applications, up to twice as long as a conventional water heater.

Clean, Fresh Water

When using a conventional water heater, rust and scale build-up can collect in the interior of the tank, where the hot water you use day-to-day for bathing and drinking is stored. With tankless water heaters there is no tank to store water, so you’ll always experience fresh and clean hot water because the unit heats water on demand as it passes through the unit.

Space Savings and Flexible Installation Options

Reclaim precious space in your home. Conventional water heaters can take up to 16 square feet of valuable floor space. However, tankless units (about the size of a carry-on suitcase) can be installed on virtually any wall inside or outside of your home.

More Capacity

Meeting increased hot water demands can be a challenge for traditional tank-style heaters, however, with Rinnai’s innovative technology you’ll never run out of hot water.

Our units can be used individually, in pairs or in banks of three or more for residential, commercial and multi-family applications.

Peace of Mind

With tankless water heaters, there’s no tank to leak or break, thus reducing the risk of flooding. Plus, both Rinnai and Noritz offer a line of controllers that make it easy to set water temperatures precisely for multiple locations in your home to ensure comfort and prevent scalding accidents.

24/7 Plumbing and Rooter tankless water heater technicians are leading installers and repair experts. Our company is a certified dealer and installer for Rinnai and Noritz tankless water heaters, however we are experienced in repairing and installing a variety of brands.

Water pressure regulator # Guide to your pressure regulator. # 24/7 Plumbers Apple Valley, ca and all surrounding High Desert areas (760)780-9365

Water Pressure Regulator : Guide to Your Pressure Regulator.

In order to reduce the water pressure from the water line to your home, a water pressure regulator is normally fitted. As a Plumbing valve, all water levels will reduce to a safe level before entering the home and this prevents damage to your  Plumbing fixtures and fittings. Without this level of control, the pressure could go beyond the point at which most parts are designed to handle which leads to expensive and inconvenient repairs.

Typically, the water pressure regulator will actually be reduced inside the body of the valve using an adjustable spring-loaded diaphragm. As water enters the valve, it gets constricted before then being released at a safe pressure.

Location – If one is installed for your home, it can be found after the main shut off valve where the water enters the home. As you can probably guess, a pressure regulator will never be located before the shut off valve because then you wouldn’t be able to shut off the water in your home before doing work on the system.

Is it Necessary? – Although it serves a very important purpose, some homes actually won’t need one but it all depends on the pressure of the water entering your home. By using a Pressure gauge you can test this by attaching it to any washing machine bib or hose bib. As long as the water remains between 40 and 60 psi, you might not need this valve; remember to keep the gauge in place so you get a consistent reading rather than a reading from just one point in time. Additionally, you should test it at different times of the day because the demand in the households nearby could play a role.

When testing, make sure you’re looking at the only water going into your home otherwise you won’t get a proper reading. If necessary, you could also talk to your local water company as they should be able to provide advice.

Installation – If you already have a pressure regulator in place and you’re replacing it with the same model, installation should be achievable within a few minutes. Considering manufacturers don’t really adjust the size of their models, the ones available now should be the same as twenty years ago and beyond. After shutting off the water, you simply remove a couple of unions before then unscrewing or pulling the valve from its place. From here, you can install the new valve with ease.

If you haven’t had a pressure regulator previously, the whole process will be slightly more difficult because the main water line will need to be adjusted. Before deciding to take the project on yourself, we highly recommend talking to a professional service because they can rework the main water shutoff valve with full knowledge of what’s going on.

Damaged Water Pressure Regulator – Over time, the pressure regulator can get damaged and broken so you need to know the signs. Firstly, you might notice a sudden increase/decrease in the water pressure entering your home. Furthermore, the pressure could fluctuate and these types of inconsistencies suggest a problem. Once again, keep a pressure gauge handy so you can keep testing and know what’s ‘normal’.

If you’re just reading this as a precaution, be sure to check the pressure of your water soon and then yearly after this. If you don’t notice a problem or leave damage untreated, it’ll place huge amounts of unnecessary stress on the system and it won’t be long before your home can’t handle it anymore. While some experience small drips from the faucet, others come home to a blown pipe which rips through the wall/floor so it isn’t worth taking the risk.
