We were called out to an apartment complex in Adelanto for an emergency situation where multiple toilets were overflowing from the base. This is a serious issue that can quickly cause property damage and health hazards if not handled immediately.
🔍 What We Found During the Inspection
Upon arrival, we determined the issue was a main drain line blockage affecting the entire property. Wastewater had nowhere to go, which caused the toilets to back up and overflow.
🛠️ Step 1: Snaking the Main Line
We began by accessing the system through the exterior cleanout and used professional drain equipment to snake the line. Although we were able to partially clear the blockage, there was still a restriction further down the system.
⚠️ Step 2: Opening the Septic Tank
To fully diagnose the problem, we removed the septic tank lid and inspected the system directly.
What we found:
- The septic tank was nearly full
- The baffle tee was clogged
- Wastewater and solids were backing up into the system
🔧 Step 3: Clearing the Baffle Tee

Septic tank blockage located at the baffle tee causing backups throughout the system. Cleared and restored proper flow.
We then snaked the line through the baffle tee inside the septic tank, which allowed us to break through the blockage and restore proper drainage.
Once cleared:
- Toilets stopped overflowing
- Drains began flowing normally
- System pressure returned to normal
⚡ Final Result
We successfully restored the drainage system and got everything working again. However, the root cause of the issue is still present.

Final step completed at the baffle tee — blockage cleared and flow fully restored throughout the system. Job complete.
⚠️ Important Recommendation: Pump Your Septic Tank ASAP
Because the septic tank is full and solids are building up, this problem will come back if not addressed.
👉 The next step is to schedule a professional septic tank pumping service as soon as possible.
